Final Project Proposal

As a pretty big foodie, I want to somehow incorporate food into my map for my final project. One of the best networks in television ever known to man is... FOOD NETWORK. One of my favorite shows on the network is called Diners Drive-ins and Dives, where this man, Guy Fieri, ventures across the U.S. He gets to embark on a tasteful journey that allows his taste buds to try different authentic foods each restaurant he stops by has to offer.

I want to make a U.S that shows the number of restaurants he had stopped by per state. For my project, I can either create a proportional or choropleth map to easily illustrate this. I also want to give the audience an idea where the location of these restaurants are. So I may also include some symbols or even incorporate a dot density map into my U.S map. 

These are maps of locations of the restaurants he stopped by in Texas and Virginia.
